A Compassionate Pastoral Response to Suicide & Assisted Suicide

Suicide is often misunderstood and insufficiently discussed in the Church, even though it is a major cause of death. The film by Sanctuary Mental Health, entitled When a Loved One Dies by Suicide, aims to dispel misconceptions about Church teaching on suicide. It offers support to individuals journeying through grief towards healing.

This presentation by Father Nevin Jacob is intended primarily for those who have lost loved ones to suicide, although others may find it helpful and informative. Suicide and mental health challenges impact countless individuals and communities, and we are all called to the ministry of accompaniment.
