Message from Therapist

I know that reaching out for help can be difficult, especially if it's about intimacy with your partner.  If a sex/porn/love addiction has impacted you and/or your loved one in any way, I would be happy to help. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to help you decide whether I'm the right therapist for you.

Bio

Glenda received her M.A. in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC - #3214) in good standing with the British Columbia Association for Clinical Counsellors. Glenda taught for many years at the post-secondary level before returning to clinical work.  She has a passion for listening and helping individuals through rough spots in their lives.

When Glenda learned of the devastating and far-reaching effects of sex/love/porn addiction on couples and families in this Internet Age, she was compelled to learn more and become equipped to help. As a result, she completed extensive training to become a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and subsequently a Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist – Internet Gaming (CMAT) through the prestigious and world-renowned International Institute of Trauma & Addiction Professionals (IITAP).

Since then, Glenda has honed her training and skills in other areas that are often at the root of compulsive sexual behaviour.  These can include but are not limited to adult enmeshment with a parent, addictions interacting with sex addiction, and early traumatic life experiences like feeling unnoticed, unaffirmed, neglected, or abused.  Glenda also comes alongside partners' betrayal trauma experiences by unpacking the trauma of discovery, dealing with the emotional aftershock, equipping them to communicate their feelings, and making new, empowered decisions about their futures.
